What Can Ruin Your Wedding Day
Watching Syracuse fall to Vermont was probably the biggest downer of last weekend. If I wasn't getting married the next day it would have been quite a sullen weekend. I missed most of the college basketball of that weekend. After the Cuse's loss I was just rooting against all high seeds. I wanted something pretty to die. The thing is, if Syracuse wasn't my team I might have picked that upset. This is classic Syracuse. When they're not expected to do anything they go far, when they're highly touted, they choke. Twenty something turnovers did it.

Since I missed most of the basketball that weekend I don't have much analysis for the first three rounds. I do see that I was completely wrong about the Big Ten and Big East. It seems that maybe the Big Ten had something to prove with three teams in the Elite 8. Maybe the conference that doesn't get any respect (like the Big East the last two years) breaks out in the tournament.

I do see a lot of high seeds in the Elite 8. I didn't have many high seeds getting that far (I did pick the UW-Milwaukee - Alabama game though). So all in all it was a bracket that I may as well burn. Oh well, still some good basketball to come.
